The very first time I heard Mike, it was the 5th July 1981 at the Montreux Jazz Festival. It was 25 years ago and today we are the 5th July 2006.
Montreux Jazz Festival started last week end. Every day, at the end of the afternoon, archives are being projected at the Salon Rotary (Montreux Palace, 1st floor). This year, in order to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Festival, a concert from each year will be presented. Unfortunately, it will not be Mike on the screen....it will be James Brown....!
What a pity...!
