Hi all,

I am just wondering if anyone knows how i can get hold of a PC version of the Multimedia files from TSODE. Currently they can only be viewed on a Mac i believe.

I can only get small snippets and i have waited too long to access these on my CD. Does anyone have any suggestions on how i could either download a programme to convert them, or does anyone have a copy they would be willing to share/sell/whatever?

Regards,

I went about this the other way. Macs with CD players have been around quite a while now, and the older ones are pretty much worthless (like Pentium 60 mhz PCs)....but they will play TSODE. It did not take much asking around before I found an old Mac someone gave me for free for playing TSODE.

That's a novel way of doing it i suppose! I don't think i would have the room at my house for two computers though.

How long does the multimedia file go for?

This is an OLD thread... but I want to see the video at the beginning of TSODE too. Is there a version viewable on PCs?

The problem (for me) is that TSODE isn't viewable on new Macs either. It takes the OS that came before OSX (i.e. OS 9)  :(

Never even heard of it! Thanks, Milamber. But that tiny little moving postage stamp is hardly satisfactory, and the link to the "private" full version seems nonexistent. Does anyone have a file share, or know of an emule site (or vuze location) where this can be downloaded? The video looks oojah-cum-spiff (don't ask, Ugo! :D) and I'd really like to see it.

It runs okay on my Powerbook G4 using OS 10.4, but I think it's more because it's got a PPC chip rather than an Intel.

None of this helps you get the videos though. It really is the kind of thing that could probably be recreated in video DVD form.

I can watch the single videos, but cannot play it as a Cd-Rom...

That's an idea - I'll try ripping the video from the disk and transcoding it if necessary.

You mean you can rebuild the structure of the cd rom from the simple files?

I've just had a closer look at that Amadian site. You can get a CD of the video playable on a PC, correct? But there are no details as to how to get the CD. If anyone knows, please message me privately.

Its an old site NS maybe abandoned  :/
I just tried to lift the files of the disc (Im running Windows 7) and I cant even get my PC to recognize that there on it.
Maybe if we ask Mr Cochrane nicely he could provide them and then I/we could transcode them ourselves .

There's a bootleg called WSODE that includes a version for PC of both multimedia tracks (the original and the one on the reissue). I have uploaded the files here:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WVFN3CLL

You need to install the 16 bit version of Quick Time (which is included on the pack). You don't need to delete present versions of Quick Time if you have it already installed, just install the old version included on the RAR and enjoy  ;)

Hmm... Can't get past the menu with this. As soon as I click on one of  the pictures I'm left with a black screen and an odd-looking cursor. I installed QT.
