I 'discovered' this guy, when I recognised the music from 'Splinter Cell: Chaos theory' playing on Top gear (a programme about cars, for those who are unaware of it).

I recognised it instantly, and had enjoyed this music whilst playing the game throughout. Recently I searched amazon for 'Splinter cell' and naturally found the games, but also the soundtrack. (I figured there must be one, as the BBC wouldn't use music directly from a computer game) :)

I have now bought to of his albums (from amazon.co.uk) and they shall arrive shortly.

These albums are 'Permutation' and 'Supermodified', I am looking forward to recieving them greatly. Has anyone on the forum heard of this guy, and heard his music, what do you think?  :)

I made a track using the 'Supermodified' site today.......

http://amontobin.com/supermodified

click the second square 'Supermodifier' (once the page has stopped popping up with random bits) to try it :)

I have:(in order of how much I like them)

- 1. Supermodified (2000)
- 2. Out from out where (2002)
- 3. Splinter cell soundtrack (2005)
- 4. = Bricolage (1997)
- 4. = Permutation (1998)
- 4. = Adventures in foam (1996)

If you're bored, or have a few minutes to spare, try it!

And I'm supremely happified by the Verbal remixes! :D:D

Sounds  interesting... So I'll give Mr. Tobin a chance.

I'm right now downloading this one:

One of those artists I've been meaning to check out for a while but haven't actually gotten around to. What I'm hearing on his myspace sounds real good.

Have you heard Aphex Twin? I seriously like what I've heard of that guy, too.

There is a nice video (even not original one of course, but it does justice to original song) on youtube:

I love Tobin! I told my neph his stuff is daring, "like the way jazz sounds to dogs".

That may sound like a dig, but he does wild things, like art with sound.
