Two of the guys in the band (Gideon and Christer) went down to Mike Oldfields soundcheck at Roskilde in Denmark and and asked Pierre if he wanted to join their band. Pierre thought they were nuts and gave them a false phonenumber. They then found his adress in Paris and sent him some demos. Pierre liked what he heard and then joined the band. Isn´t the story fantastic? It's curious to know that sometimes an unknown but interesting project can be attractive to such talented musicians. a_r_schulz Group: Members Posts: 425 Joined: Sep. 2001 Posted: April 12 2006, 10:50 DOH! too late, so just a little correction: Tribute has indeed released 4 Albums, of which just two feature Pierre Moerlen (and some may be out of print): New Views (1984) (nope, no Pierre here, but still a great album) Breaking Barriers (1986) with Pierre Live! (1986) with Pierre, and a kickass drum solo! Terra Incognita (1990) Other side of the collaboration is Pierre Moerlen's Gong : Breakthrough where most musicians besides Pierre are from Tribute With the title tracks of 'New Views' and 'Terra Incognita' both in the 20-25 min range and highly recommended to all TB/HR/OD fans.
