You can order Light + Shade online at Amazon.com ($21.99) and Amazon.ca (CDN $16.99). Two bonus tracks seem to be included in some releases: Près de Toi, and Lakme (Fruity Loops).

Update Sep 14 - the album is also available at Amazon.fr (EUR 16.13).

Update Sep 18 - the album is also available at Amazon.co.uk (£11.99) and Amazon.de (EUR 22.99).

I think there are two bonus tracks, Pres de Troi is listed in cd Light. If I am not mistaken, Closer is a version of this song so the bonus track titled Pres de Trois may be the celtic version Mike talked about in his interview at mikeoldfield.com. Let´s hope so. And, Lakme, something relationed to the opera by Delibes? Maybe a cover of the Duet of Flowers?

I do believe that that tune from FL is a version that Mike did of it.

Does this mean that Light and Shade is offered in the US before it is offered in the UK??? Isn't that a first?

They say they are imports on Amazon.com and Amazon.ca (Canada usually gets its own releases, let's see if Mercury keep releasing Mike's record in Canada or not). I think it's just that's the North Amercian branches of Amazon update their database faster than their European counterparts.

oldfield.de and others who posses some of the tracks from the actual CD... please share... put them up for us to download

Well you're not interested but the guys who have been given a copy of the CD in good faith by Mercury most certainly are I would imagine. If they were told they could put snippets up online early then I'm sure they would.

why ask oldfield.de or others, why not ask mikeoldfield.com, there's the link mp3 for nothing. what's the use for that link after the album is released. you can go to the record shop and listen the whole thing.  :/

Hi,

CD-WOW have it for £9.99 including free delivery!

http://www1.cd-wow.com/detail_results.php?product_code=21142

The tracklisting doesn't seem to have the bonus tracks but maybe it'll be updated before it's released.

Cheers,
Terry.

Record companies really don't take into concideration the fans... i'm a musician living in the music capital of america and from stories told by ppl that work at the record companies they are interested in sales and money nothing more nothing less.

they complane about illegal pirating but they don't make products available for a reasonable price or to certain parts of the world... THAT"S THEIR FAULT IF THEY LOOSE MONEY!!!!  i'm only wanting to hear snippets which mikeoldfield.com hasn't bothered putting up either.  good faith whatever... they need to get over themselves and let the fans hear the product before purchase or release.... THAT IS GOOD PR!!!
