No, I'd never heard of her. Had to look her up on Wikipedia... is her poetry any good? My signature is from the Philip Glass/Robert Wilson opera Einstein on the Beach, and that particular line was written by the poet Christopher Knowles. |
Walwicz has a reputation, but I find her work tedious, as I do most manifestations of minimalism. I'd say Wilson would have known Walwicz's work; the resemblance is too great to be a coincidence. Presumably if you like those lines enough to use them as your signature you'd like Walwicz's poetry too.
