Hello everyone,

I have just finished work on my latest album, a short and atmospheric set of songs called "Tranquility".

For me it's my best work, bringing together everything I learned while making my previous albums.

I hope you enjoy "Tranquility" - the whole album and 2 alternative covers for it can be downloaded from the album page here:

Not really my sort of thing but I've listened to the first couple of tracks and it sounds pretty good. Very Vangelis in places. Nice one.

Thanks :-)

I guess it's hard to spot Mike's influence since my work is purely electronic.

The Songs of Distant Earth is a constant influence to me, and more recently Light + Shade.

Listening to The Big Sky at the moment. Very atmospheric and soothing. Love it.

I absolutely love Sound of the Sea. In fact, from what I've heard of the Album so far, it is all extremely good. You should be very proud.

I'm probably gonna be an addict to your songs now. I'll probably get round to listening to your other songs in time. These are beauties.

Hey, Alex, where have you been all my life? This music is fantastic! I'm really into Industrial Sky, that album is so dark, it reminds me of Blade Runner, a bit like Vangelis' stuff. I really loved Science Fiction Sunset. I hope a film does get made where this could be used. It sounds awesome.

I am also an obsessed Doctor Who fan, I'm more of a fan of Tom Baker and Jon Pertwee personally (my Dad had taped episodes of these guys, but he grew up in the age of William Hartnell). I still love the episode where a Dalek (not inside its machine) tries to strangle the doctor. That was so cool, not to mention shocking!

Just out of curiosity, are you a fan of Star Trek too? I love The Original Series and The Next Generation. Anyway, keep up the absolutely fantastic work!

Hello Alex,
I'm listening and downloading your songs as I write this post. So far, I love what I hear. You sound very much like another not well known artist called Mike Andrews. Here's his web site:
http://mike-andrews.com/online/index.php
You should listen to how close his music sounds to yours. Seems like you both have a like style.
Keep up the good work and I'll be commenting further as I listen to your music.
Best regards,
DarkMatter

Hi guys,

It's been a while since I was able to make it onto the forum, so apologies for the lack of replies!

Thank you so much for your comments – all very much appreciated.

DarkMatter - thanks for the link, I'll check his work out.

SoimSandheaver - it seems we have a few things in common! I've been a Doctor Who fan since I was about three years old! Although I'm afraid I've never been particularly interested in Star Trek. But most of all, I'm happy to hear you are enjoying Tranquility. Although they are personal projects, I always make them with the idea in mind that I will be posting the link on forums like this, and it's made for people like yourselves.

I have recently done more work on several tracks on Industrial Sky and replaced the versions previously online. I improved the production on most of the tracks. it was always a personal favourite work of mine, and the new material I'm working on at the moment follows a similar style.

Thank you everyone :)

Alex
