Everyone always lives in the now, and if you asked one of the people who say they wouldn't like to live forever, "OK, would you like to die now, they would reply with alarm "of course not!". I think people are scared of large numbers: the idea of, for example, a trillion of anything terrifies them. But those people live through a trillion picoseconds every second, so what's the problem? I imagine he'd find that question annoying, almost on par with "Why did you write Tubular Bells?". If I'm allowed another, musicianly question, I'd ask him if he likes the sound of the erhu, and whether he would ever give it a prominent place in a composition. There are all sorts of musical combinations probably unexplored anywhere, such as that of erhu and autoharp. Back to top

qjamesfloyd Group: Members Posts: 1357 Joined: April 2001 Posted: Oct. 15 2020, 01:23 I don't think he would at all, I don't think he minds questions about his playing style, I think he would prefer questions that are different from the normal ones he gets from interviewers, which tend to be about Tubular Bells. It's the same when Mark Knopfler is interviewed, and they ask him about Money For Nothing!!! How many more times? things like that can be found out very quickly with a Google search. Back to top
