1. All your tones on your phone are obscure guitar rifts from a MO album.
2. You are proud to say your a MO fan even though it usually is followed by bemused expressions from ppl who have never heard of him or think he only made 1 album.
3. You can recite by name and in order every album he recorded.

5. You turn off the TV when you hear the latest techno version of Mike's "Moonlight Shadow".
6. When a girl says "Isn't Mike cute?", you reply: "It's THE MUSIC, girl, not the looks we're talkin about..."
7. You complain loudly in the middle of a store that they ran out of the Amarok album even though you have two copies or so at home...

Just wanted to say "hello",

16. If you didn't figure out how to play the TB themes on the piano, you bought the music for it and then learned (it's wayyyyyyyyyy better doing it that way , let me tell you!;) . Not only do you play his music, but you play it for others as well.

21. You purchase four tubular bell necklaces at a Mike Oldfield concert in case you lose one...or two...or three....

22. Your license plate says "Amarok" and the only other thing on your car is a tubular bell decal.

23. You visit local music stores to find out when they will be carrying Tres Lunas, even though you have a copy.

24. You argue with the store manager over the placement of Mike's music under "Easy Listening."

25. You use Mike's Christmassy tunes for musical chairs at your children's school Christmas parties.

26. You are not an author but nonetheless conceive of a novel entitled People of the Tubular Bell.

27. You make tubular bells out of silly putty, sand, and cookie dough.

28. You bake several types of tubular bell-shaped cookies for special occassions and parties.

29. You look for tubular bells in the clouds.

30. You whimper when you preview your post and realise you weren't logged in and will have to reconstruct everything you had just typed, but nonetheless do it.

Gee. I don't know anyone like this at all.

OK...numbers aren't my thing, but wasn't Ugo's 20, which would make my range 21-30 (we're further along that we thought!;).

Definitely have been there on your #31--have a cat named Sheba (with help from the Amarok mailing list) and had an iguana named Moonshine!

Hmm......would #35 be asking a mailing list or newsgroup to help you name your pet in an Oldfiedian way?

You hum that Mike Oldfield ditty in the office one too many times  'oh and away we go....' and your workmates either carry on with the corus or throw a book at you.

Cheers MO fan :(

34. you burnt a copy of Amarok with 50-odd track marks, only to find out that your new DVD player will put in 1/2 sec break at each track mark.. :-(

Ahh - and count me for that piano plinking as well..

How come all these numbers are out of order?

From what I count, my next one would be number 39. OK, let's see what I can come up with... I speak from personal experience here.

39. You always check to see what MO albums the CD store has, even though you have them all (I always do this! )

40. You are dissapointed when quiz nights never have Mike Oldfield questions

41. You need good sailor music for a play, so you instantly get the Sailor's Hornpipe from TB.

42. You can't come up with names for story characters, so there is always a Mr Oldfield whenever you write.

43. Your in-box is cluttered with 'your topic has recieved a reply' because everyone posts here!

OK, that's all for now.
