On the site www.mikeoldfield.com you can see this: Website Design: F. Oldfield
F - it reminds me of Fanny. Does it mean Mike married her? Or does she just use his surname? Or is it somebody else?

I was under the impression he married her. Perhaps someone with more knowledge can spread more light on this topic.....

Well her name is definately Fanny and if she's putting Oldfield after it she must have married him I would guess.

Yes, they did get married - it was some time last year, I forget exactly when, in the summer I think.

Ha,that´s quite nice...but no news about that on the tabloids, since their relationship is full of ups and downs...?
Sounds strange...but I guess she got married to him just to stay in England, since she´s french....

I am sure they both know what they are doing. :p  Just my humble opinion :p

No, it seems nothing was mentioned in the Tabloids, but he did mention in his interview with The Sunday Times (I think that was the one...) that they had got back together and were intending to get married...they did so shortly afterwards.

Oh, and hello Ren :D

Let us believe that she is a magnificent Genius from other world, an excellent graphic designer that will complete the VR with unbelievably enchanting visions...
Is she not? I believe that she is fully understanding and truly dedicated to him... (she did not mean to stay in England, Tati...Actually what did you intend to say; The Murder of Gonzago?).

Rather a pity that this is what it takes to get Mike in the spotlight...

Women troubles and Tubular Bells, rest of the time he ceases to exist.

Oh well, I hope THIS time he can get his personal life together, perhaps it'll bring more focus to his music and all those naysaying fanboys on the forum (you know who you are) who say he's lost his way can be proved wrong... then everyone can be happy.

Oh well, one can always dream.

An excellent graphic designer? Good. Maybe she could begin by updating the telepathy game annotation. It still reads:

"Take a look at these 4 shapes, Relax your mind and imagine what shape Mike has chosen for December....blah blah blah...
Make your vote and we will reveal the answer in the first week of March." OK...the "blahs" aren't there.

Obviously, there are eight shapes. It is no longer December. There is a comma after "shapes" instead of a period. Wouldn't those have been fairly easy changes to effect when updating the page to include the monthly answer?

"Take a look at the eight shapes.  Relax your mind and imagine what shape Mike has chosen for March....blah blah blah...
Cast your vote and we will reveal the answer during the first week of April."

Thank you! I hesitated because I can remember Mike saying he wasn't going to get married again.

I have to go along with what Inkanta says. For what ought to be a high profile site, the attention paid to the upkeep is really not good. Mistakes often stay there for ages - more seriously than those with the telepathy game page was the MusicVR demo download page, which for a long time had a small coding error which made it impossible for users of some browsers to download the demo (as I remember, a small but crucial checkbox didn't appear).
There was also no visible administration of the Active Avatars bulletin board - the software there allowed people to post HTML in there (and maybe even still does), which led to people embedding things like music files and even a chatroom-applet in there, which ought to have been deleted immediately (they'll be offputting to some users at the very least, and will make the page take much longer to load...there was also the possibility for people to embed even less desirable material in there) but weren't...
The forums don't seem to be moderated at all either, and the software's ancient (the update's free, who knows why they haven't updated it)...the whole thing looks a mess to me, with it almost impossible to find new posts (they're not sorted and the dates on them only give the day and month...).

I personally feel that the whole site could do with more of a feeling of enthusiasm behind it, both in its upkeep and its design (I mean, it's acceptable, but I think a few extra touches could be added to make it feel more slick and exciting - mikeoldfield.org would be an example of that, to take an official site as an example). I think they really ought to be thinking about what kind of message the whole thing gives out...

i'm going completely off topic... but now u say that i'd also like to ask for some improvement there regarding 'the tube world' release... what u say about the chatroom in active avatars bulletin board is right (i've often used it being on the game and apologize if someone could get annoyed for that...) but it's necessary to have a place to keep in contact with the others when online... being on the game it's not easy at all (at least with some computers... i checked it out with the one i had when mvr was released) to open a chat program as icq, the game went much slow and often ended crashing, and even if it could remained opened and working, going from one to another would be quite annoying since both programmes have got so different mood... hope this is well expressed...
i've also tried to fly without words but this is not easy either... there are occasions  in which for some reason one loses sight of the others and u could spend ages until meeting again...
so it would be really good if  with 'tube world' there were a chatroom or something...
at least till the moment we get a high level in our telepathy skills  :D

What I'm going to write has nothing to do with your recent discussion.
Tati, I'm afraid you are not right. Frenchmen can live in any country of the European Union without any permissions, I think.

We know for a fact that certain people browse this site occasionally...

I think the new design is quite nice, but the front page seems a little unclear to me - the 'main website' bit looks more like a decorative image than something which is linked, for example (also, if you view it in a really small window, the image of Mike splits in half). I think I'd have that piano keyboard on the front page and link to all the other sections via that, it would give it a more united feel (and the fact that every link would be on the same kind of button would then make it much clearer what's there to be clicked on and what's there as decoration).

I'm sure I remember reading that Fanny was from Belgium, but most recently, everything I've seen says she's French. French of Belgian descent, perhaps...
