I'm bored.. so i decided to start this topic...
with the question.....
Has anyone seen "The Man"? (Mike Oldfield:a famous musician) while shopping.. or in a pub..etc.. just IRL.
(It doesnt count if you have seen him in your dreams or been to his concerts).

No, but I think the man is on this forum quite a lot under an assumed name starting with the word 'Mike'   :p

Some hints without giving his name away.......

he does an awfull lot of posts.

A part of his surname has a 'wick' in it, and where can you get a cetain type of wick, in a 'field' of course.

And the first part of his surname is a very old name, so put the two together gives you Old-field, Mike Oldfield, Yes!

So if I have guessed right Mike, remember, no copy protection in your next album please.

Well, the chance to see Mike if you´re @ Chalfont St Giles is a little bit bigger...

Maybe on his local pub in Amerhsam...or even shopping at Tesco´s in Chalfont St Giles...

I think Music, the Ancient Language has locked Mike Oldfield in his basement... He was acting a little strange the previous time I was there... And he's probaly forcing Mike to listen to his music untill his ears bleed...  :D

Nah, Music, your music is realy good!

Chalfont St Giles is one of the most expensive areas of real estate in the whole of the UK, very, very large houses, very close to London. Noel Gallagher of Oasis is aparantly one of Mike's neighbours, you certainly need a lot of money to live there. When I was at college many years ago a guy on my course used to work in a bar in Chalfon St Giles, he said he occationaly saw Mike with a beautifull blonde girl (Anita Hegerland presumably). Also when I was at that same college the head of my department said he used to share a flat with a girl who dated Mike just before TB came out. The only thing he remembered about Mike was that he used to come round and silently sit in a rocking chair in the corner of the room and get stoned, he aparantly never spoke a word.

I'm glad you mentioned Noel Gallagher,we all know he bought Mike's villa in Ibiza, but i read somewhere that when Noel was writting songs for one of the Oasis albums, don't remember which one though,he said he played the demo's to a neighbour who is a guitar player, and her liked them, now it would be natural to assume this is Mike, did anyone else hear of this, both Mike and Noel do appear to be linked a bit!!!!

Noel Gallagher has aparantly since sold on the house on Ibiza. For some reason Noel Gallagher and Mike make for a very unlikely coupling, Mike was asked in one of those recent interviews whether he liked Oasis to which he rather dodged the question by saying he doesn't listen to music anymore. Aside for the Ibiza house buisness I can't imagine there's anything else the two would have in connection with each other. Can you imagine Mike liking Oasis? I can't. Stranger things have happened mind you.

Yep.Now you understand the shoes he used on the Berlin Concert(MB) and the Tr3s Lunas premiere!

BTW,a spanish friend who was lucky enough to meet him in person on the TL launch estimated his height in about 165cm...
