Well, IMHO this is just the case . My own theory is this: one of the company executives is a big MO fan. He heard Amarok, loved it and thought: "What a nice-sounding word for a company name". Then he made a bit of research and discovered the meaning and the implications of that word in Inuit...and that's how the company's name and their wolf logo were born!!!
You want some proof? Well, if they only knew about the Inuit word (before knowing about Mike's disc), they'd have spelled it "Amaroq", not with a final K...
P.S. (O.T.): I posted this one only for one reason: because I got Amarok 8 days ago, I listen to (part of) it every single day and I am falling deeper and deeper in love with it...for no other reason.
