Well...since you asked...just off the top of my head...the Inuits and Sami are both peoples of the arctic and as such, share similiar challenges. Linguistically they're in different language families. Sami is Finno-Ugrian (Uralic); within Sami there are several languages. Some, if not all, are on UNESCO's endangered language list. Not sure about the Inuit's (i.e., Inuktitut languages).
BTW... EeTon--you had provided interesting information on the Sami part (and everything else happening lyrically in TSODE! ), which might be of interest. Hope you don't mind me providing a link to it.
