Just a guess but I think that "Chill-out" music will fall by the wayside within two years, just in time for Mike's next "Amarok".

A decent tune with interesting instruments sounds great and Mike has always been good at these in the past!  :)

Well the new album has been brought forward to August, according to 'Record Collector' magazine. Sorry if this has already been posted.

I think that Mike's next "Amarok" could be "Amarok" itself. The last time it was released, under Virgin, it went over like a led balloon. Perhaps Mercury can do better; give it a fresh start, and release it as a new album.

That would be good, Hiawath. I think Mike's move to Mercury is a good move overall.
My "prediction" is based on Mike's past timeline. He has tended to let years lapse between the releases of his major works, though I guess that really depends upon one's individual tastes. For instance, for me, there was quite a long lapse between "Incantations" and "Amarok", two of my 4 favorites. (not that the albums in between were BAD).
I beleieve he still has it in him and some more great works lie ahead as his artistic vision matures.

I just hope so. Nothing could be worse than Warners, who did a decent job of promoting TB2. Then they deep-sixed the rest of them.
