Alun Jar

first thing that comes to my head is a confined space, and as if something unstoppable is growing within it.

Isn't Alun Jar the name of Jar Jar Binks' Welsh cousin, but he hasn't yet appeared in any of the Star Wars films    :) .

I think he's the lead singer for the band 'Jars of Clay'

A Victorian glass object, possibly used my Mr Jekell? Or possibly used by my great-grandmother to pickle odd vegetables?

Sounds like something chemical (a jar of alumnite) ? Maybe it is. ;) I'm afraid Google is useless in this case. :D

It sounds like someone's name. Can't think of what else it could be.

It's an abbreviation for a common but unpleasant-looking ceramic container made in Naples:

A Large Ugly Neapolitan jar.

Hmmm Alun Jar.....I have one of these in my garage. It's the old marmalade jar that I keep my set of Allen keys in. Originally I had no idea how to spell Allen, so it is just labelled up "Alun Jar".

I'm afraid that wasn't from my heart - that was from the second shelf on the left next to old biscuit tin containing assorted washers.

;-)
