I cant believe it,  I have finally managed to track down the missing encore from the final TB2 gig.
On the very final night at the Los Angeles John Ansem Ford Theater Mike treated the crowd to a 3 minute live version of Amarok.
Only the last minute remains and rumors are it was found in Noel (Oasis Wanks) Garbage after a major renovation .
It was found on a beaten up cassette tape labeled C.E.N.P's.
So the quality is a bit poor sorry.

I've heard better fakes...  :D

The last 80 seconds of 'Amarok' are one of the reasons for being happy to live in this planet.

@ Milamber: sorry to unmask you, but this is not Mike Oldfield live. This is Mike Oldfield playing in his studio, in 1990, featuring Cameron James a.k.a. Milamber playing drums at home in 2010.

P.S.: Joking aside... excellent as usual. I want more! :)

@ Tubularman: well, yes, he did do some short acoustic excerpts live, in radio shows etc., to promote Amarok (not that his "promotional" activities generated any increase in the album's sales, of course! :D); maybe your clip is from one of those performances. BTW, the fact that the Fast Riff from Amarok is in 5/4 is very clear from this clip. There is also an excerpt from "Stop" (another Amarok section) and a variation on it. I have another clip on my PC, with the same audio quality and the same ambient noises, of Mike playing a little bit of TB part 2. Maybe it is from the same show?

@ milamber:

@ nightspore: when we joked about Cameron (Milamber's first name) and James Cameron, he told me that his full name was Cameron James. Or maybe am I remembering this wrongly? :)

@ Tubularman: well, yes, it's radio. You can't gather more than 30-40 people in a radio studio, can you? :) Unless it's a theatre being used for a radio broadcast, as the BBC often does...

@ Cameron/Milamber: then what is your surname? I just can't get it from Daniel's (Nightspore's) joke. If you think it cannot be written here without provoking more laughter, just PM me. :) By the way, I'm sure you know that my surname is Coppola (no, I'm not related to anyone famous) but I don't think you know that it means "cap" - at least in Sicily it does. :D

@ Delfín: it's either "Lion" or "Lion Reprise". I'd think it's "Lion Reprise" because there is the extremely fast solo, but it may be a mix of both.

I mean, I knew what this is in terms I know it's a part from Amarok although I don't dominate all the names on it (I know a devoted Amarokian for that) but i meant about the mix, the drums, and everything.

Brings inspiration for doing things like that, I probably have a few but don't know how to upload them. If i find out, I'll share them soon.
