OK, going on from what I asked about the Amarok Player:

What is the mailing list exactly? Is it Mike Oldfield news, fan's articles or what? Is it essential reading? Or do I just need to read the posts on Tubular Forums to stay up to date?

It's the official mailing list.

More or less the same kind of discussion as here, but via email, and it's not categorized. The Amarok mailing list was probably the first MO community on Internet. It's not moderated at all. It's great.

Well, just try it, it's really cool, even if it seems all the topics have been discussed. There is also a digest mode, so you receive only the most relevant emails. Well, all info at http://www.amarok.f9.co.uk/
