Hi,

Sort of new here. Used to be registered under another name years ago. Anyway please, please download and have a listen to my four albums available free at  My Webpage
Been a big admirer of Mike's work for many years and have adopted his style of playing. All music is written and performed by me except "Phonometry" which is a collection of pieces by Erik Satie I arranged and recorded just recently. Would really appreciate any feedback. Good or bad.   :)

I got quite excited when I saw the MP3 for Faerie Tale...was expecting it to very dark Like the Raymond Feist novel of the same name....but its all light an airy...still a nice song though. I'll listen to more later.

That's one of my favourite books! But the music has nothing to do with it and is just a little fingerstyle guitar solo that I couldn't think of a name for.  ;)

"Lunatech" is probably my most Oldfieldesque piece but there are tracks on all the albums that are very influenced by Mike's style particularly the electric guitar.

Hi,

I downloaded them all - I've listened to the first half of Circa and I really like it. I only stopped listening because my dinner was ready and my wife then wanted to watch a movie with me ;-)

From what I've heard so far... Your sound is really clear and your playing sounds very concise. Nothing sounds too complex or cluttered and it's all put together well. The melodies fit the music. I guess the only possible negative thing I could say is that I haven't heard any musical surprises... everything sounds quite 'expected' and follows on naturally. However, seeing as I've only listened to a few tracks, I make music myself, and we're influenced by similar musicians I'd guess that it's to be expected :)

Thanks for sharing - making 4 full albums of quality music available for free download is very generous - they must have taken you ages to put together.

Cheers,
Terry.

Oh... and by the way... I love the echoing, bouncing, reverse(?) effect on the guitar on Twilight Gone... how did you do it...? did you use a plugin effect for that, and if so which one..?

Cheers,
Terry.

Thanks for listening. I'll check your stuff out. The reverse reverb effect was done using Guitar Rig 3 (I use that for all guitar effects) with a clean guitar track layered over it with separate reverb.

Hi,

I've just finished listening to Lunatech - and it's marvellous.

I really enjoyed the way you kept on bringing the main theme back in different arrangements.

Shame it was only 28 minutes long ;-)

Thanks very much for sharing this.

Cheers,
Terry.
