Smart phones are wonderful things and are becoming ever more popular
At the touch of a screen you now have access to anything you want or need to know, at any time, anywhere (with good connection ) ~ and it's with you always, as long as you don't lose your phone
phone, internet, games, information, music, camera, maps, images, books (  ) shopping etc etc...the list is infinite
I have collected a fair few aps this past couple of years, some are rubbish and have bitten the dust, and some have proved very useful indeed. 'Starmap' being my favourite of all...a map of the night sky showing the stars etc that moves as you turn to look, changing direction & helping to identify constellations and planets. All in the palm of your hand. So easy to use.
It really is a clever use of design and technology.
If you could design an ap, what would you come up with?
No question what mine would be...
I'd want a time travel one...when you press the button you could go back through time and choose exactly where to stop and step out, do things differently maybe...and then to readjust the setting and travel to the future to see how things are there
