We're currently doing some behind the scenes work on some of the reference sections of tubular.net, one of them being the articles section.

Of those articles on that page which were originally published in a language other than English, do any of you have copies of them in their original language, or know where we could find them? It would be incredibly helpful if you could email them to me, either as a link to somewhere it's already been published or transcribed online, as a text file (or text pasted into the email, or indeed as a PDF or any other format which isn't too obscure) or an image with a scan of the article.
We'll try and look for them ourselves if nobody else knows where to look, but if you can help us, it'll make the whole process much quicker! Our aim is to use them to help make sure all of the English translations are as accurate as possible, as well as possibly offering the original text to those who want it.

While you're at it do you or anyone else have access to the 1984 Guitarist magazine interview where he's talking about the recording process used for Discovery?Used to have a copy but lost itsomewhere.

I don't, unfortunately. I think I might have a few in magazines which aren't in the articles section yet (including at least one, maybe two, from Guitarist) but not that one. I might know where I can get hold of it, though. I'll let you know if I have any luck...that's unless anyone else has it easily to hand.

I have got more than 700 articles either from magazines or newspapers in my collection....All in different languages, such as English, German, Italian, French, Spanish, Japanese....and a lot from East Europa....

The problem is....how to do to put all of them on the web ?

A lot of work to me...

:/

yanouch65, if you have a scanner, if you could scan them in good quality and send us the images, we could do the rest, OCR and put them them on the web, it would be great...

You could always just take a picture of them with a digital camera, as long as the article is readable enough in the picture. It would probably mean that it would have to then be typed up by one of us rather than just OCRed in, but it'll still be a massive help!

Yannick do you have the article published in France in " Voici " , a kind of French tabloid ; it speaks about celebrities houses in Balearic Islands and so the one of Mike ; there's a pic of him ! . If yes , no need i send it to Korgscrew . I think this one is pretty rare !

Another option if you don't have a scanner is to make photocopies (we can reimburse you the cost).

:) I think the most simple is to ask a friend of him to scan the magazines , it's a nice option too ... i guess !

When I say "more than 350 articles", I mean not only interviews. Most of them are articles about Mike, his intsuments, his life, his houses...etc...

What are you interested in? Only interviews or everything about him?

I can see there are already a lot of articles under "articles section"
