I was browsing around a Charity Store and came across this
Album on Tape for a Bargain 50p  ... I always said Id get it
at some time in past years so I reckoned cannt pass bye this time... I already have    MURMUR , NEW ADVENTURES IN HI-FI,
OUT OF TIME, REVEAL , and the Latest one... Im not a massive fan but like the Stipes Vocals ... Well on 4 Listens
I reckon this must be one of the Best Albums... AUTOMATIC FOR THE PEOPLE.. Hell it even sounds like a early Genesis album in places .. nice arrangements and killer Hook Lyrics..
with even 1 instrumental on it as well.. Any one else got all the Albums and confirm that this is the best REM album out there ?? tks... Bye the Way anyone else out there still buying or using "Cassettes !! absolute stonking bargains out on that format if you look around the bargain bins ..  :D

On eBay, it is easy to get 40 or more cassettes for about one dollar or one euro: for the whole set!

I personally prefer Out of Time to Automatic for the People, though AftP has some good songs on it and is perhaps still their strongest and most creative album. I can't comment on the others as I haven't heard them.

I prefer 'Out of Time'. 'Losing My Religion' is their best track ever and 'Shiny Happy People' is one of the most joyous tracks around. The B52s influence worked well I think.
