What is the model of the bass guitar that is featured in some of the "Elements DVD" videos such as "Pictures In The Dark" and "Islands"?  :)  :)

It's a Roland G-88 bass synth controller. It's got a lot of controls on it, but most are for the synth pickup - the conventional bass electronics are entirely passive (rather than being active, as the number of controls might suggest). Its partner would have been the GR33B bass synth. The bass was almost certainly made in Japan by Fuji Gen Gakki, who have made guitars for Fender in the past, and still make all the Japanese Ibanez instruments. They were introduced in 1981, and I think not made for very long, as they weren't particularly popular.

Mike used his a lot - I think it's that bass which can be heard on a lot of his 80s work. It's certainly there on Discovery.
