Hulloder.nl's Mike Ratledge discography says this: "30/11/1973, Mike Oldfield, BBC TV Studios, Shepherds Bush (Second House BBC Performance)." On a sidenote, Karl Jenkins plays the oboe. But aren't you tired of Queen = A Night at the Opera = Bohemian Rhapsody or of Led Zeppelin = Stairway to Heaven or of Pink Floyd = Dark Side of the Moon? I think having a single work that can be recognized as an artist's or a band's trademark is what makes a great artist really great. Artists which most people can associate with more than one great song or one great album are IMHO not that great. The only exception to this is, I think, the Alan Parsons Project. Back on topic: I really love the 2nd House performance - it's the bit I play most often from the Elements DVD. Mike plays bass for most of it before switching to (acoustic) guitar and then back to bass, thus giving ample proof that he's a great bassist as well as a great guitarist. Bells performances (QE Hall & 2nd House) state 25th & 26th June 73 on the covers (may not be correct as they are bootlegs). Tubular.net gig guide shows QE Hall as 73. However the BBC4 webpage states 74 for the 2nd House performance. Dirk Star Group: Members Posts: 1331 Joined: Sep. 2007 Posted: Jan. 05 2009, 13:05 Don`t know if this has already been mentioned here,but Mike Oldfield`s perfomance at the Wembley Confrence centre in 1979 was broadcast on sunday on BBC Radio 6.UK residents can still listen to a stream of the concert on the BBC iplayer  here The show lasts for 60 minutes,and features performances of both Tubular Bells and Guilty.... "Mullet haired instrumentalist" says the guy introducing the show with the mad staring eyes and the Richard Whitely overcoat. Back to top
