Just watched the  Bejing Olympic Opening Ceremony...
You dont get this sort of Show down the "Rose and Crown" on a Friday night so it was worth a Watch ..
The Only MO connection I guess was "Lang Lang" who did a Piano piece centre stage early on...
Sort of a Great gig for the Scots too.. Couldnt get the Connection with the "Scotland the Brave" Bagpipe set that was played at least 5 times.. :)..
Think London will be sort of thinking how the hell u beat that.for a show in 2012.. "A tough act to Follow".
If you didnt see the Torch Light .. Watch it sometime.. was pretty Good...

They've put a lot of effort into impressing everyone, but the dictations that locals are not allowed to wear colourful clothes or converse with tourists, among other things, are a tad exaggerated and go beyond my comprehension.

I just heard snippets from Music of the Spheres being played during a montage of highlight footage of the Olympics Games. (South Australia, Channel 7, Saturday Night, Aug 16, 10:15pm) It was a segment about swimmers. The first piece I heard was from the track Shabda.

I was watching the Opening Ceremony with my housemates and some friends. What an international bunch we were. So we cheered for each other's countries when they came by during the procession.
