I was going to write TBII + TSoDE, but I decided against that as I think that TSoDE as an album is weaker than TBII. Not even the first four albums were of a consistent level as albums - because this is what this topic's about, ain't it? :D Incantations has some fantastic parts and some weak ones. So does Ommadawn - IMHO. The only couple that, to me, fits in this is Light & Shade + MotS as far as M.O. is concerned, and of course Sgt. Pepper + the so-called "White Album" as far as all other pop/rock music is concerned. :D

I'd probably also say TB+HR or HR+Ommadawn, but the best combination ever would be Amarok+TBII if it wasn't for heaven's open, but we can say he didn't intend to make that album anyway :)

Oh, and five miles out+crises is not bad either!

Nobody said the 2 albums must have the same ranking. For example a 10 and a 7 would beat a 8 and a 8.
