I looove it! Ringscape is GORGEOUSSSSS!!! What a great album!!!! I don't have the bonus tracks, though :(. I really wanted that one. Oh well, I'll just have to find them somewhere ;).

I also, amazingly, have seen the TB2003 DVD Audio 5.1 disc with the Tubular Bells demos on it and the Elements DVD actually in stores ON DISPLAY...that's ODD! I want to get them as well before they decide it's not worth keeping there or someone else nabs them!!!

Happy Birthday,(even if I am a little late)  MI :) .  It does seem a little unfair Mercury has only decided to put out the bonus tracks  on the UK CD.

It's, worth buying the Audio DVD of Tubular Bells 2003, for the 1971 Demos of Tubular Bells,Wow amazing, what genius   :D .

Happy Listening :D .

Nice to sell Bilbo Baggins chime in on an item about a "birthday present". Have you tried to remove the ring from the cover art yet?

I am so frustrated, I still don't have the CD.  I ordered it from amazon and it should have been here by now but it hasn't even been shipped yet.  I have contacted them to find out what is wrong.  And yes, the cover reminds me very much of Bilbo's ring.

Wow!  Within minutes after writing to Amazon.com, they wrote back and said that Light and Shade's release date in the states was pushed back to October 17.  That means about 2 more weeks before I get it.  They did, however, give me a $10 credit to use on my next purchase.

So sorry to hear that, but nice to get a credit. I got mine today finally (the 7th) at around 12:30 and am on my second listen now after laying on the sofa with my eyes closed but this time I am taking notes. It's pretty and definitely worth having and while it does sound very familiar that is not Mikes fault, if it wasn't for the release of Tres Lunas 2 and the 6 tracks pre released on the internet I'm sure this album would sound as new and fresh as any other. Definitely would have released Tres Lunas and Light as the 2cd set though and Shade as a seperate cd if it were me. Shade can stand on it's own.

Thanks very much, everybody! Actually I did get ahold of the TB2003 DVD Audio with the TB Demos BUT I have to wait until Christmas to listen to it :(. And then I need a 5.1 setup to really appreciate it lol ;). Also got the Elements DVD. But I can't play The Wind Chimes video because there is no cursor in the menu for me to move around and select "Play Movie". I've tried 2 DVD Players PLUS my computer. No luck. So I just copied it on my computer and re-authored it to contain JUST The Wind Chimes video and burned it on a seperate DVD. Works fine that way.

I am disappointed that a couple videos and pieces of the interview were taken out of the original Elements VHS video. Probable because TB2 was copyright from Warner music and Virgin couldn't use it a second time for some reason? I don't know. I'm going to burn the Elements VHS I have taped off onto another DVD as well. Now all I need is the Exposed DVD coming out and the Knebworth concert on DVD. Hmmm you think Exposed IS the Knebworth video? Hope not. I really need a copy of the knebworth video on DVD in good quality, though. Excellent concert.

Oh, and also the Berlin DVD. I have a VCD version, but it's just not the same and the Art In Heaven audio is somewhere around 8 seconds out of sync with the video! Horrible!

Yes...still a few things I need....

And yes Ringscape is one of my favourite tracks on Shade. NICE what he did with it! Those keys sound superb, too. Wish he would have rerecorded the guitars or at least added more, though.
