A new little theme...

Blue Theme

The main guitar is totally improvised.

Hope you like it.

I liked it and its concept.

Initially I was going to suggest you could add some heavy drums and synth pads, but the sound quality of your track has an unusual retro feel to it and certainly sounds like it could belong in a Kevin Ayers album. Possibly something Mike was experimenting with before Tubular Bells. :)

Out of interest what did you use to record it?

Wow. Sounded like an old 60s reel-to-reel to me :)

(though to be honest, I haven't heard the differences side by side)

It's a very nice melody (and I love the way that the bass comes in with this melody every now and then).
But, if I may say so, I would love to hear it, but then with this sort of climax at the end, with strings and drums coming in... but that's just an idea I had.
I really enjoyed this, as the melody makes me think a bit of what mike did in the mid 70's. It would have fitted well on side 2 of Ommadawn...
So, good job! :)
