Great replies, very amusing some of them! Love this Oldfield sense of humour we all have!
What about Opus 1...Sailor's Hornpipe...Sentinel...or simply Platinum? Remember you have to not feel a berk saying it three times every time you have to use the radio! It's one thing to paint an interesting word on the side of the boat, but quite another to ennunciate the same across a crackly radio!!
Have done the sailing thing, my other half is very keen + the children, Grandad also. I don't share the same enthusiasm but I understand their need to be in a boat. It can be fun, exhilarating, exhausting & frustrating. ( cold, wet & windy too). But I fear the sea & it's power so do take care. ( we have a little Mirror dinghy & called it Polly after a cat we once had. My husband's not a big cat fan but realised that calling a boat by the name of the cat meant I might decide to have a go at sailing!
I also think Ommadawn would make a beautiful name for your boat. I even called my ipod Ommadawn!
Enjoy your sailing anyway & let us know what you call the boat!!
