I've noticed that people are getting very poor at commenting on tracks in this forum.  Sometimes it's because they don't know what to say, or perhaps they don't like the track and don't want to give negative feedback?

Either way, I'd prefer to have negative but constructive feedback, rather than NO feedback at all.

Perhaps we should do some sort of "give and take" approach?  So, if I download and comment on your tracks, you'll comment on mine?

I'm not sure if everyone will be happy to do that, but I think it's only fair.

To get the ball rolling, I'm downloading this now.  Meanwhile, I'll add these thoughts to a new thread in the fan music discussion forum.

Listening to this now.  I assume that you wrote all the "BOOsTER pres. Dreamscaper" tracks yourself?  Could you explain what you actually did on the first two and the last two tracks, please?

Also - in your post, tracks 10 and 11 are the same.  There are only 13 tracks in the ZIP.

I'll post some more detailed comments later.

I liked the number 9  (ooh, spookey number: try this)
esidarap ot edoc terces a evah ll'uoy dna sdrawkcab egassem siht daer

who finds out is the lucky winner!

Eh, where was I?
Ah, yes, I liked that track... had a lot of energy to it...
Like the upbeat tracks more than the quieter ones
(nr.3 is too weird) haha

But good job  :D

Moz and Piltdownboy I quoted both of you, so you might want to read the full reply if you wanna get your answers, I was too lazy to structurize it better ... it's quite late here :)

at first yea, ups 10 and 11 is the same track... :-) sorry for that

yes I did,
about the tracks
in the 1st one I just did a sort of orchestral arrangement from DMs original...just  because it's a song of mine and my g/f...or ...ex-g/f to be exact.

nr. 2. the DT8 project one is a breakbeat remix which is planned to be released on Mondo Records sometime next year (hopefully) also with vocals.

13. Ultrabeat - Pretty Green Eyes (Dreamscapes and Illusions Mix)
is a total remix, the only thing from the original is the chord progression :-)

14. Whiteroom - Someday (Dreamscaper's Up To The Sky Mix)
a bit less of a remix than 13, as I actually left a few melodies from the original but I added some...and added some progresssions and melodies here and there. you would have to check the original to hear differences completely

I'll check yours asap, but I really have less time than I would wish, as I think many other musicians here on board do, that might be why there are not many comments on fan tracks, we should more try to get the listeners (from other boards) who like to listen, to comment too. As far as I have big respect for other producers giving their feedback, sometimes feedback from a normal listener can be so much more helpfull :-)
I'll check your tracks anyway, when I get some time! That's a promise.

I guess my biggest problem is that I'm too old and too sober these days to really get into the bulk of this album. I give you full marks for composition and production, but most of the tracks seem "cold" to me - as in, not my cup of tea.

Hi-lights for me, are track 9 and track 5. I found it hard to get my head around the DM track - the original holds a lot of good memories for me (including watching it played live in a small venue in Brighton).

Given some breaks and publicity, you should go a long way with this quality of work.

Now, give me a Brandon production of Viper's work and I'll be in heaven.

Brandon? just wondering if you mean me, or Brandon as in MusicallyInspired...I'm not Brandon heheh :)

anyway thanks for your praise if it's what you intended :)

track 5 Lightscape Del Mar is a high light of the album for many people :)

Hi ! I have downlad your tracks BOOsTER, some are better then other. For exempel, i like Depeche Mode better then Whiteroom, but Whiteroom is better than DT8 ! You are very good overall BOOsTER

Obvious this is a little bit to Moz, but i agree, there is not very much coment. 90% of 100 i use to coment, of the music i listen to and download. But i dont wanna coment every single piece of a track, it would take all day and many ppl dont have the time. So usually it look someting like this -

Hi, good, nice or very great song/track, keep doing your music and so on... ( and whit whit my bad english/swedish speling lol ) but i think that is enough ! Iam not sure if this is what u mean  :/ "to short" coments ? or same coments"

Anyway, it is cool/nice to listen to M.O FanTracks and Covers AND KEEP DOING YOUR MUSIC  ;)

Damn you Booster, you've gotten good! I'm glad you stuck with making music.

I love "Lightscape Del Mar." The tuned and untuned percussion sounds and the whole arrangement is just lovely.

Now, about your guitar playing... :)
(hop to it!;)

Izorion: thanks, about the other things you mentioned, there's a topic about it in fan tracks discussion board

Khoa: I think my guitar playing is...hmmm...don't know, but even when i practise I can get no better. I think I will just leave guitars to the masters :)
Also thanks for your review, was very glad to see it even when you told me everything on MSN already :)

Sorry Booster, I never got around to sharing some of my reviews with you until now.  I have posted comments on these tracks over at lyricless.com, seeing as DCDayDreamer was good enough to post them there.  The first track is here:

http://www.lyricless.com/view_article?id=348

You can navigate to the other tracks by clicking the link on that page, then the link on the next page, and so on.  I didn't comment on all of them though.

PS If you register at lyricless.com, I can make you the author of your tracks over there, and then people can see all of your tracks by viewing your profile :)

I missed this topic before ;)

Booster, I'm downloading your album right now. I'll give you some feedback asap.

In the meanwhile, which gear and software did you use? :D
