Poor Caroline, indeed. What happened to her is beyond horribe and I hope the perpetrators rot in hell.
In a week's time, my kids and I will be in the UK (a few days in London then heading out). I was initially concerned about the usual.....looking the right way before crossing a street, getting lost on the Tube...but this.....this just adds a brand new dimension of worry.....though I am fairly sure that if we were involved in that, Scotland Yard would just be able to follow the trail of blood...... (2 of us know self defense and one is just plain ornery). Avoidance of bad situations is the first rule of self-defense, but it looks like Caroline's attack happened in a good area.
