I think the next Classical Brit Awards is in a couple of months time. Is MOTS eligible for this does anyone know  - I assume it is for albums released in the calendar year 2008?

If all of the above is true, how does it get into the nominations?

Hello Chris...

I don't know wether Mike is eligible or not, but I hope so.

By the way, do you like this album and have you got the live version ?

I love the live of Bilbao and believe me, it is better than the Itunes version.

Remember, we were over there....about one year ago ;)

Regards

The 2007 album winners was this bunch of dudes here..Blake indeed,..now reduced to a four piece since Avon and a couple of the other guys went solo in the early 80`s...Or not!..Yeah seen as how this album supposedly featured warbling housewife friendly versions of songs like Moon River & God Only Knows etc. Then I see no reason why Mike should not be considered eligible that`s for sure.Would be nice to see him nominated at least imo.

That`s some pretty "wavey" hair those Blake guys have got going on there though. You know as far as the award goes for Best Performance In A Hair Salon,I`d say these boys have pretty much got that side of it just about sewn up...Or not?..

I only have the iTunes download - I had assumed that the CD would be much the same as the download, but you say not, so maybe I should consider getting the CD too.

...and re Bilbao, how could I forget. The memories of the trip come flooding back every time I listen to MOTS.

Regarding the award, the Best Album award is vote for by listeners of Classic FM. However, since last year, just before it was released, I have not heard any of MOTS played on there. They seemed to suggest it was brilliant and then forget about it. Very strange. Maybe we should remind them with a mass of requests to play it :-)
