I just borrowed my flatmate's copy of Gorillaz' Demon Days and ripped it with CDex. The last track showed in CDDB as "Copy Control Junk".  Of course, there were no errors encountered and the album plays perfectly. Isn't CC a fantastic technology?

Don't get me started on this one again ;)

I think I already ran the topic into the ground when TB2003 came out. Let's just say I don't think much of it, and I suspect there might be ulterior motives for including such technologies on CDs (they potentially shorten the useful life of the disc).

I won't buy any discs that use it.

Sort of discourages anyone from buying the CD,right?

Me neither. Which is sad, cos I like Demon Days a lot and wouldn't mind paying for it -- but sadly it wasn't released on CD and I don't need anything else. Although maybe there's vinyl? :)
