I quite liked it. Better than most remixes of Mike's music that I've heard :)

I don't remember what bits Edo wrote, but to either of you: I thought the lead synth's portamento was a bit too slow. I was instantly reminded of the nauseating synth section from 'Secrets' :) The only other fault I spotted was that the bass near the beginning wasn't in time. Again, this might have been to do with speeding up Edo's material. Production was generally top-notch!

Mike's current style of music is most suitable for dance remixes. It worked well

My night club days are behind me now, but my personal observations are that the bass line needs to be harder and continuous. Around the 3:30 mark (ish), as a dance track the bass needs to continue, or hit harder with the chord splash.

Overall, up to the very high standards I'm used to from both edo and Booster. Excellent.

It's good. I like it, Booster. Nice job. Quality is excellent. Sounds a little repetative, but that's ok. If this was played actually in a club or something I doubt anyone would notice as much, being in a 'dance' mood and not a 'let's listen to this and give an informative review' mood  :).

wow.. good energy. it's an interesting mix, a piece of music made with pieces from three different puzzles: edoardo played in his instruments the music mike had written and then u give it your final touch with your remix. it works !!

it has nothing to envy other dance music i've listened to, it makes me feel like dancing. i like it, booster :)

I wrote some comments in the thread about Edo's original version of this, explaining how a slight timing problem made me feel uneasy for the first half minute or so - but that I loved the rest of the piece.

My problem, here, is that those timing difficulties now seem greatly exaggerated. Does no one else notice this? The fluid little pipe-like tune seems to be doing its own thing, regardless of what the other instruments are doing, and my ears/brain won't reconcile the conflict between them. Although I've tried to listen to this right through to the end, after several attempts I'm sorry to say that I can't.

So I'm really sorry - I love this tune and I love (most of) what Edo did with it; but I can't enjoy this one at all because of the timing issue. Maybe I need an ear transplant? Or a brain transplant?

I'm pretty sure that problem is due to the instrument sample itself. Since it's probably a fade-in sound and not an abrupt-start sound it gives the illusion of out-of-time-ness. The notes are starting on the right timing but they have to have time to fade-in because that's what the original instrument sounds like on it's own so it sounds that way. Yes it can get annoying sometimes..

It's the portamento that's I think what's causing that. Shifting it forwards by perhaps 20ms or so should do the trick.

I like this one generally, though. I don't find it any more repetitive than the original version. In fact, I feel that additions like the resonant synth parts give it more movement.
I love the bass sound and the pattern it plays, though I'd prefer to hear it change to follow the chord progression - I think it would help to bring everything together a little more, with the bass part really supporting the others. It combines nicely with the percussion parts though, I think the whole thing has a nice 'slam' to it (to use a highly technical term ;)). I don't personally mind the fact that the bass line doesn't continue the whole way through - I like that, actually!

The loud chord stabs don't quite work for me though - I think I'd have put them on the first beat of each bar...conventional perhaps, but that's my feeling! They sound a bit accidental as they are, possibly also partly because they're fairly high in the mix.

Nice one nevertheless!

i think it's great, and very very funny. i'm starting to experiencing the "net" musical production, and it stimulates me so much.

loooooooooool this has got me :D

to the rest: I think quite the same as Edoardo...thought it sounds interresting and funny...

Korgscrew: The chord stabs in house music (which was inspiration for this tune) they put them in the middle or in the quarter of a bar...dunno it worked for me :)

thanks all for your reviews :)
