I've played the saxophone for three years which is the only musical "education" I had. I started learning myself to play the keyboard when I was 14. I made some casual songs on my Casio keyboard, but I kind of stopped playing when I was around 17. About a year ago I discovered Mike Oldfield's music, which inspired me to start playing again.
I bought a Korg Triton Extreme in April and have made two (short) songs on it thus far. This is the one that I like the most. I might expand it sometime, because it is only 2:23 minutes long and I might be able to "get more" out of it.
It's main melody just came out of my fingers when I was exploring my new keyboard. A few weeks later I started expanding it with the Triton's beautiful orchestral sounds. After some tweaking I think I can call this short version "done" now and maybe expand it further in the future. I already let my friends have a listen at it, but they don't really like it. It's just not their style. I'm really interested in the responses from people who have about the same musical taste (Mike Oldfield) as me.
