PREVIOUSLY....
Always regarded as an imaginative guitarist and composer, Deirdre Cartwright
became well known in the 1980¹s as a result of presenting the BBC¹s ground
breaking series Rockschool, which attracted audiences of 2 million viewers
every week in the UK and was subsequently shown worldwide. She went on to
compose and perform with the Guest Stars with whom she recorded three albums
and toured the world.
Since forming her own group, she has played extensively in the UK and
Europe. Her group represented Great Britain at the European Jazz Festival in
Mexico City and her trio featured in a concert and live radio broadcast at
the Warsaw International Guitar Festival.

Precious Things her third CD released in 2002 reached no.3 in two jazz
charts in this country and no.5 on KAFM radio in the States.
Looks like Jazz May 2003 UK tour supported by the Arts Council national
touring programme. Combined original jazz compositions with specially
created images in a live interactive format.
