Quote (Guru Meditation @ Dec. 07 2005, 15:57) | I am no doctor (and I heaven't followed the links some of you have offered), but as far as I know bipolar disorded is a severe thing and I doubt Oldfied has it. One women I know that has it is hospitalised every now and than and is under constant medication.
From what I know about Olfdiefd's personality, I think he is more suspicious for some mild autism. |
Not entirely true actually. You can get different strains of the illness. ADHD can be a link to the disorder. It just means that they can have good days/weeks and bad days weeks. They can be very 'sunny' , and then for little reason they can become very low, to the point they may not even want to get out of bed. They can become irritable, moody.
Some people with manic depression can be ok for upto five years, and then can become ill again. It's something wrong with the brain chemistry, and is more usual in women. It is not the same as REACTIVE DEPRESSION, which is caused by events in a person's life. To be honest some celebrities are mis -diagnosed with manic depression, when infact it is not, it is reactive depression.
I personally think Mike Oldfield does not have manic- depression.
