(OK, techno-weenie) after a little trial and error was able to separate the audio from the TBII DVD live performance and put it on a CD for me. It was compressed but still sounded pretty decent on long car rides. He also did the same with Blue Man Group's first live DVD. There was a kick-ass encore version of the Who's 'Baba O'Reilly' which wasn't available on CD until recently.
Are there any DVD audio tracks that people would like to have available as a CD? I am NOT offering this as a service (wouldn't know where to start plus I'm still on dial-up, lol), just curious as to the level of interest.
Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave I use a Xmpeg to do this.
You just put in a dvd hit extract audio and your done then cut it up in iTunes worked a treat on the montreux dvd .
Its also great for pinching movie quotes I have Vazzini's(from Princess Bride) Inconceivable as my message tone on my phone sad I know.
If you just want a song or two from a dvd then use Dvd shrink first, get the bits you desire then import that file into Xmpeg.
In answer to your question I would like an audio rip of the essential mike from laser disc as my vhs rip has dropouts .
Any links out there I wonder?

My how times have changed. My stuff was converted back in 2004 with (I guess) at the time 'cutting edge' technology. I do still have a few 'geekier' friends that could probably figure your 'techno-babble' out. Please, no offence meant with the 't-b' term, it's from Roger Waters' on "The Last Mimzy" soundtrack and helped me get through some tough times (I think I'm the official 'poster child' for quadruple-bypass surgery in the GTA 2008-9)...
'Live at Montreux' is an excellent candidate for a similar treatment. I bought it expecting an overpowering buzz of the amps washing out the actual music. It's good to be surprised in a nice way for a change. Thanks again for the input.

Cheers, Dave
