Hello everybody

I have uploaded to eMule this performance that Mike did for the Scottish TV (STV) In Concert program, originally broadcasted somewhen in December 1980. The file only has audio (no video inside this one) in FLAC format (the ZIP file also contains plug-ins to use FLAC with Winamp and Nero Burning ROM). I have also included some artwork I have done (this artwork is also available in Dabidovich's webpage).

Despite being in FLAC (lossless compression) and that the attached info file says it has not been compressed to any lossy format, we can see on the spectral view of the files (also included) that there are some missing frequencies (those over 17,3 kHz in fact). I assume that this is due to the fact of having been recorded from a new broadcast over digital TV. Anyway, from my point of view, this version of the show has better sound quality than the MP3s going round internet ;)

Still being in 1980, this performance has more to do with the tour starting the next year than the one already finished to promote Platinum. In fact, this show is already part of the QE2 promotion and one track of this album is included, Sheba. Also included, it is included a new live arrangement of Ommadawn (part 1) shorter than the usual those years and without the final drum and percussion solo. Mike ends the performance with a new live version of an excerpt from Tubular Bells (part 2) which features the same tracks than the version played on the previous tour (Peace followed by Ambient Guitars and The Sailor's Hornpipe) but arrange in a similar way than the track which they would play in the 1981 Adventure Tour with Ambient Guitars sounding in a more quiet way, similar to the album version (in the tour, Bagpipes Guitars will be added between Ambient Guitars and The Sailor's, but that's another story ;) ). Playing with Mike, we can find Maggie Reilly, Tim Cross, Rick fenn and Mike Frye.

Well, the eMule e-link is as follow:

Well, what do you think about this show? And about the artwork?
