Hi,

a tune that combines classical style with more modern elements. It's NOT trance, but does use synthesizers, flutes and strings :)

I loved it until the rhythm came in - then it 'lost' something in originality.

Good point! I feel it fits, but would be interesting to try a different rhythm. What would you suggest? No rhythm track?  could make a reprise :D

No rhythm!  Think how radical that is in 2010!  Everyone thinks everything must have rhythm - I say bollocks; make it pastoral. :p

I like the first version - especially the bit with the harpsichords. I think it lost a bit of impact due to some of the instrument choices later on but overall I really liked it.

The second version with no beat has a really good atmosphere but needs to develop more to keep my attention - although it would be really good relaxation music I think.

As for music without a beat - I do it all the time... that's probably why I'm not a successful musician making money!

Cheers,
Terry.

OK - go back to the first version and SIMPLIFY the rhythm!  More 'minimalist' - that would work.

I think I will make a reprise when my studio computer is working again. It's broken at the moment :(
