Well, every time the football world cup comes around, or the European Cup, we seem to have a topic. But this year it's been pretty quiet.

Is it because us English are embarrassed? Decided to have a rest this year.

Tonight the Netherlands had a storming game. So that's one up for Piltdown Boy, one down to Ugo!  :D

I'm supporting Germany and Netherlands for this Euro 2008.

Yep, Holland was very convincing yesterday.

I haven't had a tv for six months now and it's been great! But I almost bought one just so that I could see these games. Luckily it turned out they can be watched live online this time.

I usually support the underdogs, just to make it more exciting.
I think this time Turkey, Switzerland, Greece and Sweden. Sweden - Greece is on tonight, who to support?!! Well, it'll be great anyway.

Viva Espana, great win over Russia, 4 great goal's in a really convicing win.
Also well done Holland, a fantastic win over the world champ's, an outstanding game by the men in Orange.
Croatia I thought were a touch lucky,
Germany simply too good for Poland.
Czech rep, solid game good win.
Portugal tough game this one, but again a good win.
France Romania, no comment.

I'm not interested in football. At all. Not even when Italy plays. :D

My teams didn't make it in, so for this Euro 2008 I am going for Germany. :)

I wonder who Mike will be supporting - assuming he watches the footie?

Spain this time?

Some great games so far, very few tubular balls though.

Do we have any Croatian members here? Might be a good time to have gloat at the expense of our German friends.

Where are Bluepeter, Holger, Alex et al at times like these?  :D  :p

Croatia and Portugal looking real good,
Italy and Romania I'm not sure, good  game though and a fair enough draw
Holland v France, best game yet.
France totally beshmozzled by the dazzling Dutch.

The Dutch reign, who could beat them?
If only they didn't make so many goals. Two goals for Holland and I'd be rich, four is too much.

Spain reign again, a sluggfest against the swedes but a win.
A Greek tragedy, Russia too slippery for Greece. Good win.

Greek tragedy is right.I had to work last night and missed what sounded like the best game so far between Holland & France.Where as tonight of course...   Surely it`s no accident that the best action from the tournament so far i.e. Holland/France & Holland/Italy has took place at the  Wankdorf Stadium.  ;)

Seriously though credit to the Dutch for two outstanding performances.Having said that I thought 3-0 flattered them a little against Italy, who also played well.Holland are looking good no question.I just think some of these pundits need to reign it in a little bit.Counter attacking football is`nt quite the same thing as total football is it?Anyway I tipped Portugal at the start of the competiton who have started pretty well also.Once the group stages are out the way though anything can happen really.

For those people who are maybe absolutely fed up with football there`s always this or this.

Turk's bounce czech's.
Incredible action in a second half that will boast the come back of the year, Turkey overcome the Czech 2 goal lead to score three in a row to win a blockbuster of a game.
Breathtaking game, blistering skill from the turk's. Loved it.
