It's interesting to observe the shared motifs among Mike's different pieces - even when they're on different albums. For example, I've just listened to "Execution"; and towards the end of this there are nervous little musical iambs just like those at the beginning of "Crises". This suggests - as has been remarked elsewhere  - that endings are just beginnings, and that the people in The Killing Fields have, at this stage in the drama, to expect much more of that sort of thing!
