The Caveman Group: Members Posts: 2178 Joined: Jan. 2008 Posted: Mar. 20 2009, 08:47 Well Tubes and Tubesses we're finally getting into the studio tommorow to get on with our EP.Taken a year to get there so we're all really eager to get some tracks down.It will be all our own songs (the stuff on YouTube is all covers)so we're keen to hear it all nice and studio quality clean in a brand new studio.I'll let you know how we got on and post tracks here if i can figure out how to or let you know where you can hear them. -------------- THE COMING OF THE GREAT WHITE HANDKERCHEIF IS NIGH. The Caveman Group: Members Posts: 2178 Joined: Jan. 2008 Posted: June 22 2009, 12:54 Finally after much stratching of heads we have an almost finished track for you to have a listen to.Been a bugger to get there with trying to get into the studio to finish it off.The sudio track is called Nicotine and was written when Jodie was trying to give up cigarettes.We've all stopped now.It's not quite finished in terms of mixing but we've had people asking us to put something new on there.  Go to myspace.com/coopersfear .There's some other odds and sods for your perusal on there and some truely awful pictures (i'm the hairy one......hence the name The Caveman). It`s very good..Here`s a clickable link to it btw,I hope you don`t mind. Yeah I like the track some nice saloon type piano there,and a great slide solo from your good self.And Jodie`s voice sounding better than ever here I must say.To me it felt like a late period Small Faces/Ronnie Lane number meets Fairport Convention.Or wild west folk maybe..It would be cool if you could write a song using a kind of "western" theme I think,in that sort of style. Anyway "I`ll light one up for you" mate,but I`ll probably feel a little guilty about it now..Briefly!   Back to top

It's not a slide solo but i did dig into the blues lick bag for it. Thanks for putting the link in.Makes it easier. BTW i was still smoking when we recorded it.There's a picture taken of me in outside the studion with a cigarette hanging out of my mouth that we briefly considered sticking on the site....then i quit.
