It's taken me a long time to pluck up the courage to do this, I suffer from a similar condition that Mike described as his during his earlier years. Acute social anxiety most people would call it, just “painfully shy” usually covers it. I started dabbling with music about fourteen years ago and it's taken me to the year of my fortieth birthday to actually play it to anybody else and to my relief it was well received. To the point that they suggested I put it out here on the internet, the horror! It's taken a few more months but I've done it, I'm on sound cloud.

My main inspiration has always been Mike Oldfield and I thought somewhere like here is where I would find the most appreciative of my musical style. So please have a listen and comment, anything constructive or encouraging would be nice.

My tracks range between neoclassical, ambient and progressive. I really hope you like them.

Thanks

So glad you finally were brave enough to share your music with the rest of us!  It's very well crafted, and sensitively performed.  I'd like to hear a little more 'passion' - letting your deep emotions loose in this intriguing landscape.

Excellent work,
Simon.

Thank you so very much.

Starting to wonder why I haven't done this before.

I was like that for years.  It was only when I met my wife, that she encouraged me to put my music out there on the internet.  I'm so glad I did - it's changed my life!

Have a listen to my stuff:

Simon J Mills - Reverbnation

I'd strongly suggest you put some of your music on here, too.  Very good and supportive feedback.

Si.

Yep, I've been listening to your stuff on Soundcloud, like it a lot.

You seem to have more stuff on Reverbnation, I take it that's your preferred output?

Just listening to Autothysis, loving it.

Yes, I prefer Reverbnation - better for linking to other pages/tune widgets etc.  Plus I'm No.2 in the Classical charts!

I've got another 4 projects in the same top ten!

I've taken your advice on board, about the passion, and I've started work on a new track. I've put an excerpt on Soundcloud and would be very interested in what you think. Please have a listen.

Thanks
