This topic probably belongs somewhere in the MVR section of the forum but I'm just wondering if anyone here has ever played the Playstation 3 game called Flower? I've just bought it and to say it bares a slight resemblance to the concept of MVR would be a huge understatement. Its incredibly similar.

What's funny is that Flower is winning lots of awards and being hugely critically hailed for its originality. It actually achieves a lot let less than what Mike did in 2002. I always thought MVR might have just been slightly too ahead of its time. Looks like a Japanese game designer was paying close attention to it though.

Flower actually has some really nice music of its own and just like MVR what you choose to do in the game triggers more music. Also very much like MVR its not actually a game but more of an ambient audio visual experience. If you like MVR and own a PS3 its a must buy.

I actually had the same thought you had!

When I bought this game, I saw it as a "Mike" kind of game. I played a lot of video games and I think Mike was right by saying that too much game you must "shoot everything in sight". Music VR was a good concept, but maybe too "pointless" for the mainstream video games players.

So when I stumbled upon this Flower game, it gave me hope that maybe people will open themselves to this kind of games.

The best thing ever would be a Playstation Store release of Tres Lunas and Maestro, both with updated 1080p graphics and gameplay!

Hope to see more games like Flower in the future. I remember, my sister, who never play video games, was hooked when she tried flower! I had to stop her!
