For old days sake: this is a piece I composed at age 12. I get a bit melancholic when I'm thinking back to it. So I thought I'd share it with you guys.

My very first composition.

Ps: please don't be too serious about that poll thing, it's just for fun. Thank you.

The piece uses a wealth of material, usually occuring only once. There was an overall melancholic, but also barren and deserted feeling about it. What musical influences did you have back then?

Very good for your age. I can't remember what I was doing in the way of composing at 12

Hmm... my musical influences back then... good question. I wasn't really a music listener, so apart from some classical pieces, I wasn't really influenced by anything by intention.
I do remember that I made it with the cuckoo sound in my mind, though. So I could say I was musically influenced by that bird. :)
