Let's have some fun...Holger said about the Voyager action figure as a *fun* idea for a merchandaise...what else can be on the list?

1)Voyager dressing kit for your hubby/boyfriend.
2)Tubular Bells set for kids
3)...

- "Moonlight Shadow" digital watch. Just in case you can't figure it out, it says "in the morning" right next to the A.M. indicator.

Guitars that not only sound like bagpipes, but look like them too.

lol all that "voyager action figure" story reminds me of a comic series called "he-man" I used to watch before primary school. voyager-mike and he-man look pretty much alike
( http://www.he-man.de/toys/classic/figuren/figur_he-man.php )

so there we have the hero of our series. now we need a bad guy. that would be RB then. once pretending to be the hero's friend he became a traitor. of course mike has some friends who support him like david "the conductor" who has a conductors stick as weapon, simon drumhead using sonic weapons.
apart form his battle guitars mike also has the mighty coal hammer (the one he used on tb I). When his alter ego Richard C (which would solve the old riddle) takes the coal hammer he will transform into mighty-mike,the maestro, " the stongest man in the universe" :D

now thats what I call merchrandising   :D  :D

I didn't think of the He-Man connection but I can certainly see where you're coming from!  :D  BTW, this here was the bad guy in the series: http://www.he-man.de/toys/classic/figuren/figur_skeletor.php . Would make a fine RB, don't you think?  ;)

Don't forget useless tin boxes that you can't use to play stereo records, no matter what they are fitted with.

You've sold me on it, if it is the version that lets you terraform asteroids into the HR planetoid. Just make sure that you have provided for a breathable atmosphere so the wolfhound does not keel over.

The Voyager action figure it's still on my mind for a while, even before Holger came with the idea.I'm working on a story on the subject really.A bit of fan fiction.

Some of my ideas...
1)The morphin' object = celtic cross necklace
2)His alter-ego = Michael Gordon
3)Girlfriend = Fanny

There are some much more on that...maybe I'll post it what I've got on my mind soon  ;)

Other merchandaise:
-Puma's Mike Oldfield series - tennis shoes and clothing.
-Five Miles Out radio model controlled airplane.

This idea is not far from being serious  -  the oldfield bell mobile for fixing to babies cot's.

Wind it up and get a nice lullaby (molly) whilst the twinkling bells rotate slowly.

BTW, would the voyager action figure have a little string to pull, that made it say various phrases? Like "Where's the money Richard?", and "mine's a guiness"?

How about a plastic model of Magellan with an animated Mike that you can wake up? Arthur C Clarke would get royalties as well

Or a series of collectable figures from the Crime of Passion video. There would be a rocking Mike with his Adamas guitar, Barry Palmer sitting on a cube and perhaps more members who weren't in the video. Their movements could be synchronised in time with the song. It would make a great novelty phone that plays when it rings

Tati: if you're writing a fan fiction, us musicians could compose some additional incidental music for it. It would be great making a Voyager-style piece to a story

How about a model of the building from the Crises cover that you could put in your pond or fishtank? It would need to be powered so it could have the single light on in the corner.

Being a bit more serious now, a Mike Oldfield signature PRS or red Stratocaster guitar would be great.
