i'm a 17 year old kid in new orleans, louisiana, USA
i think i want to spend my life making music
i'd sure enjoy it
please, tell me if you think i'm nuts or wasting my time or if maybe i should put some time into being musical and whatnot
i did this whole thing myself in two or so days

That's pretty complex and thought-out considering it's just an electric guitar(s). I like it....strange but attractive.

Yes that's my comment. Strangely attractive :).

Very interesting. How much of it is influenced by the music in New Orleans?

Suprisingly enough, not very much. New Orleans music on the whole is not conducive to the whole spacey, long music I've been in to. Music from here influences me insofar as playing with my friends. It's fun music, not very serious at all. :p

P.S. No one is telling me if I am a fool or not...

This is very interesting indeed!

It sounds to me like a mixture of Platinum + Hergest ridge, obviously with alot of your own style influencing how it flows.

Thanks very much, cool piece

P.S You're not wasting your time, just be an ultra perfectionist for sound quality and timing etc and you'll be laughing  ;)

cool, i mean, obviously it isn't perfect.
but my notion was that if i can just come up with stuff like this pretty much at random, then i should be able to; if i actually sat down and WORKED at it, really make something of myself.
i know i'm a bit of a loony dreamer, but if i'm not, who will be? ya know?

right, this a an extract made from a song about twice as long,
so, really, it's only a very little little snapshot of what i do...
whateva, it's not of much consequence

Sounds cool!
Have you heard David Bedfords albums? Well, I think it's a bit of that style, but then a little bit more electronic...

So... great  :)

ANYWAY!
right, so i was trying to upload the whole thing, a whopping 18 minute, 30 MB file, and my computer totally freaked out on me.
so, i have replaced the long work with this short one, which sorta gets the gist of galacid... it's called Les Trois Énigmes Glorieuses de Gala, and it's about 3 minutes long, sort of a demo or overture i wrote before Galacidadgelacidesoxyriboneucleusacid; consider it a sellout version if you will: it's much shorter and easier to listen to in general.
sorry about the accidental removal of Galacidadgelacidesoxyriboneucleusacid, but i'm young and foolish and really have no sense for the internet.

here 'tis:

note: yeah, same page; different song

You could try

www.yousendit.com

You upload the file there, they send you a link in an email, you post the link here, it's active for 7 days or 25 downloads.

Unlike some who have made the claim, this guy has a shot at being "the next Mike Oldfield". Like Mike, he is starting young too.

And his name is Christ (I'm thinking the Mike looking like Jesus on the Ommadawn cover)  ;)

Good luck to you, hoping to hear more  :)
