Maybe we should have a category for finger picking electric guitarists (mind you, Mark Knofler would probably win it).  Everyone seems to go for these manic shredding/sweeping blokes, all technique but little musical interest. One of the best and most underrated guitarists to come out of England who has a unique sound and style. moonchildhippy Group: Members Posts: 1807 Joined: Dec. 2004 Posted: May 23 2007, 18:07 Good greif a poll that leaves Jimi Hendrix out , but I guess if he were in that he would win, Hendrix is good, but I do personally  think he's overrated, much of his style seemed a bit gimmicky to me. Yes I'd vote for Mike for the reason he's vastly underrated as a guitarist. Mike and Brian May, (spelt "Brain" on the poll, I know Brian has a Phd in Physics and is a Doctor of Astronomy)         are my greatest guitarists of all time, closely followed by Dave Gilmour, wonder why he's missing from the poll, most strange   . Had to laugh at some of the smelling p**stakes (spelling mistakes) on there.
