Quote (hiawatha @ Oct. 05 2005, 19:37) | In between the original works, and the works by Mike (rarities, bootlegs, etc) are the fan-track covers. What is the status of this in regards to what is being discussed? |
That would probably depend on what angle we approach it from - whether we see it as an extension of tubular.net, or whether we want to go for something that can stand on its own more (so I suppose being more of a Kebawe project). It's not really something we've talked about as being anything more than a possibility, but I think it would be nice to have something that encourages and promotes original work more, perhaps leaving covers as something for the forum here. The covers are of course a lot of fun - I personally find them nice to work on between other more serious things, and it's then nice to have somewhere to share them with people who are going to enjoy them.
Still, things are moving slowly at the moment, so we'll see where we get to.
I think there are already a few Yahoo groups that share Mike Oldifeld files, actually. You might want to have a look round and see what you find. The only Yahoo group I take an active interest in isn't one that shares files, so I can't help a lot in saying what goes on in all of them.
