I've been playing acoustic for about 3 months now, but can anybody give me advice on how to find notes, hope you understand what I mean. Thanks.

im unlike you in that i started electric when i was 11, 5 years ago!

so basically, all you wnat to do is go like this, and rememeber this

e string, (the lowest)
1st fret - f
3rd fret - g
5th fret - a
7th fret - b
8th fret - c
10th fret - d
12th fret -e!

a full scale of notes!! all the white keys on a piano! from e to e

all the frets in between are shrps and flats wich you dont need to worry about

an important note is that it is slightly diffrent on the next sring "a" the next note "b" is not the next fret, but the second.
